Withdrawal policy
This is a convenience translation of the German original, as at 26 September 2026. Only the German version is legally binding. Where this translation and the German text differ, the German text prevails. A withdrawal declared in English is of course effective — the language of your declaration does not matter.
This policy applies to consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code) — that is, to everyone who does not use Sailto predominantly for their commercial or self-employed professional activity. Entrepreneurs have no statutory right of withdrawal.
It concerns all paid services: the Trip Pass, Sailto Plus and the organisation plans. Free use of Sailto does not establish a contract for payment; there is nothing to withdraw from there.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract was concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, although it is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested that the provision of services should begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Early expiry of the right of withdrawal
In the case of contracts for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires early if
- you have expressly consented to us beginning performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period,
- you have confirmed your awareness that, by giving that consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins, and
- we have provided you with a confirmation of the contract in accordance with § 312f BGB.
We obtain both of these declarations expressly during the ordering process: before the purchase we show you the service, the total price and the term, and ask you for two separate confirmations. If you do not tick these boxes, your right of withdrawal remains in place for the full fourteen days.
